John Valva, Executive Director, UCSD Alumni AssociationI would like to extend a special thank you to all of our supportive alumni and friends who generously contributed to the success of The Campaign for UCSD: Imagine What’s Next. I am pleased to report we surpassed our seven-year $1 billion goal a month ahead of our scheduled conclusion. UC San Diego is the region’s first university to top this ambitious fundraising milestone, and one of the youngest in the nation to reach this goal. MORE

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dr. Watson I Presume

I would like to help you correct something in the Dr. Watson article. In the last picture showing the ground breaking ceremony, you list Ashanti Hands as one of the people. Actually it is Yolanda Trevino who is in the shot. She is the one wearing the dress, and she is the current resident dean of Thurgood Marshall College.

Stephanie Muldrow, M.S. ’85

I reviewed the article about Dr. Watson in @UCSD and was pleasantly surprised to see a photo from the 1974 Third College groundbreaking ceremony that included me! What a flood of wonderful memories about another historical time at UCSD.
Thank You.

Joyce Burnett,
UCSD Development
